Build two Grok Bots for your sphere: one finds a sourced reason to call, one finds the emails you never answered

In Agent Intelligence issue #89, Matt Spangler walks agents through two Grok Bots that work the sphere from opposite ends. The Sphere Signals bot searches local news sites, business journals, and the open web for a new job, a business opening or closing, an award, or a move for 30 names from the agent's database, reports only items it can link to from the last 90 days, and repeats the search every Monday at 7 a.m. The Sphere Desk bot reads the agent's connected inbox for people who never got a reply and past clients or referral sources quiet for 90 days, then drafts two-sentence replies for the agent to send. Both bot descriptions forbid contacting anyone, and both routines post nothing when nothing is found. Spangler notes both bots share one cloud computer and one set of logins, so a separate bot is not a security boundary.

Build Your First Two Grok Bots | Agent Intelligence #89

First step
Download Grok Bot on a paid plan, then go to Settings > General > Bot > Execution on Local Computer and set the option to Never allow before you create the Sphere Signals bot.

Compliance note: Connect email through Marketplace or by signing in on the Agent Computer yourself, and never type a password into the chat. Send every reply yourself, open each news link before you mention the news to a contact, and remember that the two bots can reach the same inbox.

Suggested prompt

Written by this directory, inspired by the source. Replace the [bracketed] parts.

Sphere Signals bot, first job: Here are 30 top names from my database: [paste names and towns]. Search the open web for anything about them. Give me only what you can link to, ordered by how good a reason it is to pick up the phone. Skip anything older than 90 days, and skip anything you can't source.
Then: Every Monday at 7am Eastern, run that same search on the list for the past seven days and post what you find here with links. If there's nothing, post nothing.
Sphere Desk bot, first job: Go back through the last 30 days of my inbox. Give me two lists: people who emailed me and never got a reply, and past clients or referral sources who've gone quiet. For the top five in each, tell me the last thing we actually talked about and draft a two-sentence reply I could send today. Nothing that sounds like a newsletter.
Then: Every weekday at 7am, run that check on the last 48 hours plus anyone crossing 90 days of silence. Post it here. If there's nobody, post nothing.
